My name is Jen Burgard. My son Henry died shortly after birth in April of 2017. A tragedy I never imagined would be my reality that shook me to my core. Losing him changed my perspective on life and left me more vulnerable than I had ever been. 

This blog is written because in the depths of my grief someone chose to take advantage of that vulnerability. I am sharing the story here as a testament to what happened, and as a way to release myself from the pain this experience has caused me. It is my hope that readers will have a better understanding of the events that took place, the people involved, and how it got as far as it did. 

This is my story, and the story of so many other loss moms who simply trusted and believed the best in other people, even when it wasn't as easy to see.
